As summer has always mesmerise me, I always like to have a summer-ish topic on my blog post. Eventhough it’s now Fall on the western part of the Earth, but let me talk about what’s good to see next summer from my point of view. I personally loved interesting silhouette, analog colors and clean colors. So here are my scheme for next summer.

White, but not too White.
left to right: Siki Im, Issey Miyake, Jil Sander

White is an absolute timeless and suitable for every seasons, though. But final execution tells all. Both Issey Miyake and Jil Sander did in layer exploration. Sleek and neat kind of mood, meanwhile there are volume & finishing plays seen in Siki Im and Lemaire.

Heavy Prints
left to right: Marcello Burlon Country of Milan, KTZ, Dolce & Gabbana, Junya Watanabe

It’s not a new thing we’ve seen heavy prints for alternative fashion house like Marcello Burton & KTZ, it’s like they have it deep at their brand DNA. Which make their brand pretty authentic. Yet Dolce & Gabbana and Junya Watanabe came with monochromatic floral prints that is surely captivating.

Structured Shoulder
left to right: Juun J, E. Tautz, Balenciaga, Lanvin

I’m not sure but Demna Gvasalia from Balenciaga seems to be the frontrunner for these kind of outerwear finishing. Strong & structured shoulder shown in Lanvin, too. Meanwhile Juun J and E.Tautz offers a laidback version of it. Pretty robotic for a skinnier guy, but it creates an interesting silhouette after all.

Voluminous Silhouette
left to right: Ann Demeulemeester, Yohji Yamamoto, Rick Owens, Y-3

As we know, both Rick Owens & Yohji Yamamoto has a similar DNA when it comes to create volume their fabrics. When Rick goes to his apocalyptic-like clothes, Yohji-kun comes with his loose Kimono moodboard. Following with Y-3 that is going pretty big for next spring with those pants and raincoats. Also Ann Dem has list of good pants onwards.

Yellow the Glow
left to right: Lemaire, Boris Bidjan Saberi, Rick Owens, Damir Doma

As we know, both Rick Owens & Yohji Yamamoto has similar idea when it comes to create volume their fabrics. When Rick goes to his apocalyptic-like clothes, Yohji-kun comes with his loose Kimono mood board. Following with Y-3 that is going pretty big for next spring with those pants and raincoats.
